What's changing in Irish customs?
16 December 2026: Revenue will no longer accept import declarations on AIS V1 (AIS V2 went live on 15 September). If you lodge your own imports, check your software. Since 1 July 2026: most online orders of €150 or less sent from outside the EU to consumers in Ireland carry a fixed €3 customs duty for each distinct item. Parcels from Northern Ireland are not affected. From 1 November 2026: Revenue says a €2 Union Handling Fee per distinct item will apply to online orders shipped from outside the EU to consumers in Ireland, whatever their value.

Do I need to be near Dundalk to use C&L Declarations?
No. C&L Declarations is based in Dundalk, Co. Louth, but works online for customers anywhere in Ireland, Northern Ireland and Great Britain. Declarations are lodged electronically, so we clear goods and vehicles at any Irish port and you never need to visit an office.
How quickly will I get a quote?
The same working day.
